Job Description

The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Parts Department at McKibben Powersports. This role ensures efficient inventory control, accurate ordering, and excellent customer service to both retail customers and internal service technicians. The Parts Manager will lead a team to meet sales goals, maintain profitability, and uphold McKibben Powersports’ commitment to delivering an exceptional powersports ownership experience. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all parts department operations, including sales, inventory, ordering, and merchandising.
  • Provide leadership, training, and support to parts department staff to achieve individual and department goals.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels by forecasting demand, monitoring turnover, and coordinating with vendors.
  • Ensure accurate pricing, invoicing, and parts documentation within the DMS (Dealer Management System).
  • Work closely with the Service Department to ensure timely parts availability for repair orders.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase parts sales, including retail promotions and upselling opportunities.
  • Monitor and control department expenses to maximize profitability.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional displays and storage areas.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors, distributors, and customers to enhance long-term business growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, manufacturer standards, and safety requirements.

    Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a parts department role (powersports, automotive, or marine industry preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of powersports parts, accessories, and equipment.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Proficiency with Dealer Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and move parts up to 50 lbs.
