Responsibilities

The Insurance Verifier plays a vital role in securing timely care for our Primary Care patients by obtaining prior authorizations from insurance carriers. This position also handles inbound calls from patients, providers, and insurers related to authorizations. Responsibilities include verifying and updating patient demographics and insurance details, and assisting with financial arrangements for urgent or emergent services. Exceptional customer service and clear communication are essential in this role.  

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1.     Knowledge of standard insurance companies and verification requirements.

2.     Well versed in authorization processes for all payers.

3.     Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines.

4.     Analytical and problem-solving skills.

5.     Customer Services experience required.

6.     High School Graduate or GED equivalent, required.

Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $16.76 to $24.26. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
