Duchesne High School seeks a passionate and dedicated Assistant Football Coach . The ideal candidate will support the Head Coach in developing a competitive football program that emphasizes personal integrity, athletic skill, teamwork, discipline, and the values of the Catholic faith.
Assist in planning and conducting daily practices and game strategies.
Coach specific position groups as assigned by the Head Coach.
Monitor academic performance and personal development of student-athletes.
Promote a positive, faith-centered team culture aligned with the mission of the school.
Ensure proper supervision of student-athletes at all times (games, practices, travel).
Support the Head Coach in administrative tasks such as scheduling, film review, equipment management, and communication.
Comply with all school, league (e.g., CIF/NFHS), and diocesan policies.
Attend coaching staff meetings, team events, and professional development opportunities.
Act as a role model for student-athletes in attitude, behavior, and Christian values.
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Prior coaching or playing experience in football
Strong knowledge of football fundamentals, safety protocols, and team strategy
Ability to mentor and relate to high school students
Clear background check and compliance with diocesan Safe Environment training
