Electronic Technician

Hourly rate: $33.26

The Electronic Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance and repair on the systems that provide communications, audio, and fare collection systems.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs in-depth troubleshooting and repair on electrical/electronic equipment.
• Interprets maintenance manuals, blueprints, schematics and drawings, and prepares drawings or schematics to communicate with others in performance of work.
• Works variable hours and shifts.
• Account for all time and materials used in completing tasks, sign-off on work as completed according to standard.
• Handles emergencies and failures in accordance with established procedures.
• Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety rules
• Maintain all position qualifications and certification requirements.
• Safety Sensitive position subject to random alcohol and drug testing.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• Graduation from High School or equivalent. Specialized technical training in either Electronics or low voltage to the technician level from a recognized institution with computer experience.
• Prefer five years experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of communication, electrical and electronic systems.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be physically capable to stand and walk for periods up to 2 hours, lift and carry 50 lbs.
